What is your returns policy?

You can find a copy of our returns policy here.

Can I return a product if I change my mind?

We accept returns if claimed within 7 days after purchase, if the item’s condition is resellable, and a copy of the purchase can be supplied. Customers are responsible for the return postage. The refund will be applied after we received the intact item.

Can I request a catalogue that includes the full range of products offered by Plenty River Plumbing?

How often should I have my RV plumbing and water services checked?

It is recommended to have your RV plumbing serviced every 6 months to 12 months. High water hardness in states like WA and SA can affect items like your taps, valves and especially the anode in your hot water unit. If you are travelling in an area with high water hardness, it is recommended that you flush your tanks regularly and service your plumbing more regularly.

How often should I flush my water tanks?

Fresh water tanks should be drained, flushed and treated when you get home from each trip, or every 6 months. It is recommended to flush and treat your tanks if you suspect you have picked up contaminated water to prevent algae growing in your tanks.

What is the difference between town water pressure and RV water pressure?

Town water pressure is typically 75-100psi. Water receptacles and electric water pumps on most RVs are regulated down to 35psi to prevent damage to your RV’s hoses and connections.

Which type of heater is better for my RV - Gas or Diesel?

Gas is a popular choice, however, the decision usually comes down to the customers fuel preference and current RV configuration. Both gas and diesel heaters will add comfort to all caravan and motorhome owners. Both types are fully sealed, consume a similar amount of fuel, have built in thermostats. Often the deciding factor is whether the owner is happy to carry extra diesel for their diesel heater or not.

How long are plumbing installations covered by warranty when installed by Plenty River Plumbing?

Does my RV need a water filter?

With potentially dangerous contaminants like microorganisms, parasites, pesticides, heavy metals, chlorine and corrosive minerals in our waterways, a quality water filter is recommended for all travellers. A water filter not only brings health benefits, but can also prolong the life expectancy of your plumbing and water services by removing potentially harmful contaminants.

What water filter options are available for my RV?

Water filter options for caravans and motorhomes include; dual and single cartridge setups, in-line filters, under-sink filter units, reverse osmosis systems, UV filters and distillation systems. It is recommended to install a filter based on your specific needs. This can vary greatly depending on how you use your RV, where you travel, if you want a permanent or portable system, your budget and how much water you use. Can you safely remove blue algae from water using a water filter?

No, it’s not safe to drink blue-green algae contaminated water, even with a water filter. Blue-green algae release harmful toxins that require specialised methods to treat.
